But rings and pinions are manufactured as a set, meaning if your pinion breaks on you, you cannot simply go grab another pinion. You must replace them as a set. As I've said before (in other posts), any time you go from a taller gear to shorter gears, you're always going to have some sort of noise. This is especially true if you are using aftermarket rings and pinions, because they are heat-treated for durability. I'm not saying that he is wrong, but there is some level of acceptable increase in noise and that is not attributed to installation. What I wanna know is, if you found the "right installer", then why don't you share this installer with the rest of the forum?
