I have one 10" JL10W3V2 in a JL Stealthbox, driven by a Memphis Class D 1000W amp. I have a 6.5" Boston Acoustics Pro60 component set driven by a 4 channel 400W Memphis amp, with both drivers and both tweeters getting their own channels. This set-up, combined with a Pioneer Premier PRS-880 deck with time alignment, and tuned with a spectrum analyzer has surprised many, many people. Im sure any of JL's shallow mount 12's will sound excellent if you give them some good, clean power. However, if you want the ULTIMATE sound, you may want to look into getting a box/boxes designed (or design something) for a specific subwoofer, with the sound dynamics of the Z in mind. The Pro 60's are awesome speakers. I'm not sure if they have been succeeded by anything since I installed them, but I do not regret getting these at all. This probably didn't help at all, but what the heck, eh?

"bJammmin: holy jesus fucking shit bJammmin: people who say money cant buy happiness, obviously havn't driven a twin turbo Z" "done"? BAHAHAHAHAH ... it's never "done" ...." The other season is the ROAD CONSTRUCTION season, lasting roughly 3 months. |
