Message I haven't used any of the components you listed and your question is a lot more subjective than I think you may imagine. I'm sure you have had the experience of taking a seat into someone's car, turn up the system and although it may have clarity and no distinguishable distortion, you perceive the sound and hear that some adjustment needs to be made. Perhaps even something just as simple as increasing or decreasing the sub volume, or perhaps some manipulation of the EQ curve here and there. What sounds right to one person may not necessarily sound preferable to another.

Although I didn't specifically state it this way in my OP, I just went to the next step of making a recommendation for you to understand the elements that are important to obtain the audio quality that appeals to you. Although speakers are an important part of the system, what someone else thinks of how they sound is actually quite irrelevant. For sake of your time, minimal frustration, and protecting your expenses, get yourself a quality set of components which have a solid track record for reliability and that carry a good warranty. How a speaker actually sounds will vary even from one album to another just due to how the audio was mastered for final cut. Having a good head unit with the adjustability that allows you to tune for this and other variations is one of the biggest priorities you should be looking at in your decision making process, second really to scrutinizing the performance characteristics in the documentation.

As for the comment about making a post here - I dont think it is unfair for me to take 20 minutes of my day on a Sunday to browse through the forum and offer some technical advice on something I have lot of experience in - just trying to help out where I can.. for what it is worth, the last time I took a day off was for thanksgiving..... and I think you might also underestimate just how quickly I can compose these little dissertations. :)

Just another tip, run all new power lines to the speakers - kindof a pain for the doors but a coat hanger wire pushed through the harness boot and the wire attached and drawn through works pretty well. Not trying to insult your intelligence with any of this here - I just dont know your knowledge level on these things and if I'm going to dissertate you I may as well cover as many bases that come to mind. ;-)

I hope this clears up where I Was coming from to answer your question - if you want to pick my brain about it I'm happy to oblige... If not, that's fine too - I wish you the best of luck in building your system..
