| Message | You described my situation exactly.  We did a pressure check on the dipstick tube & verified that the crank case was being pressurized, then a compression check determined which cylinder was the problem. Replacing the whole block & another $4k for labor seemed excessive, but if I'm not able to do it myself... gotta pay someone to do it. Thanks for all the info!  kkrofft, might send you an email.
