Message Don't use CD-RWs for music unless you want to play them back on the CD-RW DRIVE. Most of us want to burn the music and play them in the Z, home, etc... You can't use CD-RWs.

CDRs should work...was it an aftermarket CD-R DRIVE that you put in your P4? Or did it come factory? If it was an aftermarket, I would try uninstalling, and then reinstalling it (even though you obviously meet suggested system requirements with a P4.) If it was factory, I would recommend try "recovering" the drive my using the Restore CD that traditionally comes with all new machines (in a closed, sealed factory box.)

Its a possiblility that if these things don't work, you may want to get it replaced, and it may be a bummed drive... provided that this has always happened to you, and not "just happened" type problem.

Good luck.

Go Sox!
