| Message | Granted, "should of" is lost in the translation from language to writing. But phrases like "people that" absolutely drives me up the wall. It's just some of those phrases that people take for granted and never think about it. It's improper and incorrect, but they do it all the time. People are beings and beings take "who". So it is supposed to be "people who", such as "People who do that drive me up the wall." Another thing that drives me nuts is people who use the word people improperly. Even people on TV do it, so improper grammar is being spread like a wildfire. What I'm talking about is when people say, "21 people died in today's wildfire." The common and original definition of the word people is a group of persons. With that said, "people" is not a quantitative grouping. It should be "21 persons". Okay, rant off.
