Message	It won't help you much to replace it, as weight savings would be negligible. It's actually quite light. If you must, you could save a little bit by switching the glass out to lexan or something similar, but it's really not worth it imo. You can get the car reasonably light other ways and still keep all the other panels. the only exterior body part I could see justified for weight savings are the doors, and you'd obviously have to have door bars on the inside to stay safe (as you already mentioned).
