You are correct. We do not warranty performance products that fail due to abuse. I'm confident that no vendor here does that on a regular basis. We even make it perfectly clear up front that a 600 hp + build carries no warranty, especially when subjected to extreme conditions. We put several hundred miles on the cars and then dyno tune them conservatively. We make sure they leave here without any issues, what a customer does with their high hp build after that is their business. Of course, if there is an issue that is clearly our responsibility we still always take care of it out of good faith, but that isn't in our written policy. Any customer dropping a car off at Z1 signs off on a sheet that clearly states the risks of high performance work before we ever begin work on a car. If a customer is not OK with our policy then they shouldn't leave their car here. We aren't looking to hide anything or surprise anyone. We make every effort to insure our policies are always clear upfront. There is no vendor here that can build a motor that some customer here can't find a way to break in relatively short order. We've been doing this for long enough to know how to get it right, probably more so than 99% of the places people take their Z32s, however we are also experienced enough to know that no one can build a high hp Z that someone can't destroy. We do not make unreasonable claims about guarnateeing a high output race engine for 3 years and then try to find a way out of not covering it when a customer mistreats it and it fails. We rather simply just say up front when we are finished with it it's yours. I'm sure there are plenty who might disagree with that policy but you must admit it's not really confusing.
