I wouldn't recommend using anything less than a winter-rated tire. Obviously take all precautions when driving during the winter season. Carry an extra blanket, jacket, gloves, small shovel or 2 wood boards, and of course an ice scraper/brush combo. And if your Z is stick, starting in 2nd gear makes getting out of slippery situations somewhat easier. Good luck
