Message SteamyZ never intended to rip people off either, not as long as business was good at least. If he did, there were so many easier ways to accomplish it instead of the slow spiral out of control that ZToyZ went through.

The parallels are everywhere. He was selling great products (I loved my interior kit) but with horrible, even non-existent customer communication. Orders were promised one day and those days stretched into months. It happened so often that people were sick of the threads. There was spotty communication every now and then and always a post with an excuse that grew evermore complex as time went on. When it grew too complex it was replaced by simple "I'm doing what I can to make it right" posts.

People began to suspect that he was using incoming orders to pay for product people were waiting on. It was only after he fell hugely behind that he disappeared for a while, coming back with a post to "get back in touch with people he'd wronged to fix it". Sound familiar? It was this huge, slow-motion juggling act of failure that imploded on him in the end. Though I will say that at least he didn't run off with $30k plus in customer money/parts. That person was F8IZHIS, another vendor of the time.

There's a lot more to both cases (and surely a lot we don't know) but but the similarities only get clearer as time goes on. Maybe this will be the one where things truly turn around but then again I've said that now (hang on, checking bookmarks), seven times before. Meh.

Avoid Z1 Motorsports - Hacked TT.net deleting years of proof about service nightmares, employee misconduct and lies about parts. Use trusted vendors instead!
Avoid AMS Products - Killing Z32 product innovation, one quickly copied, questionable Chinese part at a time.
SoCalZCrew.com - On a more positive note, come find out how we do it in the West!
