these indentical to that. I got to thinking about it the other day, thinking like an insurance adjuster does. If the driver in the rear is braking prior to the impact this will force the nose of the car down to it's lowest point prior to impact. If the bumper in front is just high enough it's slide right under. The Z32 front rebar is just so damn low and just launches everything on top of it. Add in a driver going faster than he should be and then a hard brake, nose dive and the driver is instantly examining the underside of the car he just hit.
Nissan was so smart for designing the safety catches on the hoods the way they did. Otherwise there front end impact would be a lot worse.
