Message If one tt.net member can make use of the following information, it may be worth my using forum space. Basically, anyone can get a healthy discount on most Ebay items when using the Buy-it-now option.

The link to the Ebay description follows:

http://pages.ebay.com/CASHBACKOFFER/TERMS.HTML

If you already know about the discount... well... there is no need for you to continue reading this post... my humble apologies for taking your time.

The short summary:

1) Go to [ www.live.com ] and search for something common (ps3, etc...)
2) Look for the sponsored link to Ebay which says "You may get 25% cash back with PayPal if eligible." Click through.
3) You will now be sent to Ebay. Make sure you see the green Microsoft cashback 25% off tag at the top of the page.
4) Search for what you need and make sure to select an item with the buy-it-now option.
5) If you attempt to pay immediately with Paypal, you should see a section confirming the total discount.
6) After paying, you will receive a message from Ebay "You've earned Cashback." Follow the instructions to link your Ebay/Paypal account with your live.com (hotmail) account (you can create a new account for free).
7) In 60 days you will get your cashback into your PayPal account.
8) Done. Easy savings.

The discount changes frequently, apparently anywhere from 8-35%. The current caps are 25% with a maximum of $200 per item. I believe the total caps are 12 uses per Ebay account and/or $2500 total savings. This means a single Ebay account can repeat the above procedures quite a few times.

The program is funded by Microsoft and seems to be solid.

I am not involved with the program in any way. I make no guarantees. Please take the usual precautions necessary with Ebay, I would rather read about successes... not trigger happy disasters... please.

Enjoy the savings, give your Z a nice present...

I checked Ebay to see if any of the forum vendors have virtual stores there, but seems like they do not. Given the mass junk which is available out there, please do not use these steps to purchase knock off products from Ebay... as cheap as they may be... stick with the vendors for the quality items.

Also, this could potentially be very useful for people selling/buying in the classifieds... obviously just remember to factor in Ebay/Paypal fees.
