I'd be surprised if I get a real (non-automated)response, but I felt compelled to write Nissan from their website. I really fucking hate the 370Z, almost if not more than I hate the 350Z, and definitely more than I hate the GTR. Anyway, here's what I wrote, if anyone cares. As a proud owner of 2 Z32's and a previous owner of a Sentra, I must say I get physically ill when I look at the new 370 Z. I don't know what was going through the heads of your design team when they cut the clay for this new incarnation, but it's sadly disappointing. Different? Yes, yes it is. Better? Absolutely not. Nissan has made some gorgeous cars in its history: the 240Z, 90's-early 2000's Maximas and even the R32, R33, and R34 GTRs. The abomination of a 370Z makes me sad to see, for future Z enthusiasts. The headlights are straight out of some bad emo band video, and the overall lines look like the lovechild of a Tiburon and a BMW Z4 coupe. There was a submission of a rendered 370Z concept on the internet, based on a 240Z-styled body. It was beautiful, classy, and a respectable throwback to an era of Nissan's most surprising model introduction. Just when retro is hot with some American car makers too. But this isn't about fitting in; it's about designing a car that looks as good as it drives. The 370Z falls way short of this goal, and I haven't even driven it yet. I don't really ever expect Nissan (or anyone for that matter) to design another car so ahead of its time like the Z32, but at least try. From the latest designs I've seen (Maxima, 350Z, 370Z, GTR front end), it appears that you've all but given up hope of designing attractive cars again. For the next Z, for the love of its rich heritage, and the love and respect of Mr. K, please try to make the Z beautiful again. Regards
