Message I'd already been interested in the Z32 based on it being a sexy shape and had found tt.net but it was during the time that the forum was "locked down".

Anyways I was working at a cell phone store downtown and a lawyer walked in needing his phone reprogrammed, so my coworker was helping him out. As usual I scan the parking lot to see what kind of car pulled up.

OMG! A red 300ZX. I walked straight out the door and started walking around the car... No way! It was for sale. It was a 1990NA and in my price range.

I walked back in and told him "Excuse me sir, I think I'm in love with your car." He was impressed and offered to take me for a drive right away so we headed off from work. He took me for a white knuckle ride up to where his new house was being built along a twisty road... I was definitely in love.

Then he let me drive it, the love doubled. So we talked and he was really happy to sell the car to someone who was so enthusiastic.

I went to the bank and made arrangements for a loan... we got to the point where they called my employer to confirm employment and they said "It was too soon to tell whether I'd work out" The loan fell through and I lost my chance at the Z.

Don, the original owner gave me several pictures of the car that he had taken for his ads to keep. I changed jobs and started saving my pennies. All the while seeing the car listed in the local Buy n' Sell. Then shortly before I was ready to pull the trigger the ad was gone :(

I kept working and kept saving with the idea to buy a Z the next spring. What do you know, an Ad shows up in the Buy n' Sell again for a Red 1990 300ZX, new phone number, different guy. I call and make arrangements to see the car... the guy gives me directions to the same house where I almost bought the car the first time around. This has to be fate and this has to be the same car!

Turns out the new owner had bought the home of the previous owner and bought the car for cash + trade on a roofing job for the original owners new monster house.

Everything went smoothly at the bank this time around and a year after I'd first laid eyes on it I had my Z :D
