It is massive overkill for street driving, but I like the fact that I can preheat the oil before starting. For the open road racing it was required. Scott mentioned that many of the turbo cars were in the pits dealing with heat issues. My car doesn't have that problem because of the dry sump. Keeping the oil cool has a tremendous effect on keeping water temps cool as well. The complete dry sump system contains about 14 quarts of oil, and the heat capacity is much higher. In addition, the tank itself acts like a big heat sink. So I got a lotta oil, and a lotta oil cooling. RSR
