Message Completely removing your battery from the car isn't necessary. Just leaving it disconnecting would be sufficient.

Leaving the car up on stands is optional, IMO. I've always left the car on the ground, with tires overinflated (~45 psi) and move it around periodically so the tires sit on different patches.

A bottle of fuel stabilizer is a good idea if your storage period is longer than ~3 months. Better safe than sorry and it's fairly cheap to buy.

Get a good quality indoor car cover. Wash your car one last time before putting the cover on, and throw a coat of wax on if you have time.

I also leave the windows slightly cracked and the floormats get removed.
