Subject	Dirt under hood on painted surfaces?

Message	I was wondering if the painted areas in the engine compartment are supposed to be shiny clean. A lot of low mileage Z's that I have seen have a dirty appearance. Looks like the factory had a coating on them that attracts dirt. How is this suppose to look? If it is supposed to be clean, what is the best method?
