Message Slicks=are not radials.
Radials=have some sort of steel sidewall
Sidewall=great for going around corners, restrictive if just trying to accelerate.
No sidewall=flexs a ton for launching, a bit scary @ higher speeds (depending on inflation).

I have never owned a set of slicks, but I have owned street slicks (I have MT)...and frankly I didn't like them on a street driven car (many guys here will disagree w/ me). They seemed like they wanted to have too much flex in the sidewall going hard through a corner. Also...they SUCK!$#!$%#!% in anything other than a dry street.

Personally, if you Z is your only car, buy something more streetable, and slicks for the track. If your Z is your 2nd/3rd car, buy whatever because you can choose when to drive it.

Just my opinion.

GL in your choice.

chris.
