Hiro ( the owner of motorex ) had claimed 5 cars stolen from his lot. He hadn't actually stolen cars from JP and brought them over here. He claimed some cars stolen that were already here. They were falsifying paper work to get the customers cars on the road faster and cutting corners. Saying they had completed legalization tasks, when in actuality they hadn't. So the NHTSA had caught up on these actions and rescind the right for them to import the R32 and the R34. The R33 years 96'-98 between a certain time frame where the only ones that could legally be brought over. This topic if you do a little searching has been discussed a million times over some with false remarks, others correct. The detective that was involved with all this teamed up with 0-60 magazine in their "summer 08" issue, and pretty much spills the whole story on the "Skyline Fiasco".
