Firstly, It comes as a shock that you are coming here vouching for Ash, when I've never really considered you a mechanically technically savy guy, especially with internal workings of engines. No disrespect, it just kind of came at me odd, like learning your best friend from high school ten years ago is now a woman. That being said, I'm not take one OUNCE of respect (substantial) I have for you in regards to your current electrical rebuild of your Z. You are doing a phenomaly stupendous job of getting all those loose wires and electro- mechanical bits ironed out and I love the updates. REALLY big thumbs up.Secondly, what I don't understand is what you are trying to say. Are you trying to say that Ashes mod is essentially to replace one of the internal parts of the cam gears with a newer model part (ie, 1990 versus 1994)? I saw all the drilling and 'machining' and other things he claimed. Infact, I PDFed that entire thread, every bit of it, so I could read it and all the replies. And honostly, I came away confused by his over-the-head attempt at... education (?). I also felt he spoke jiberish such that you'd be swayed to just throw your hands up in the air and buy his mod. As a pretty technically savvy fella, I still dont understand exactly what Ashs mod is. (However, I did *HIGHLY* agree that welding the gear plate was a BAD move) Admittadly, I may have to spend another day reading through it... but with out parts in hand, It's just a bit rough... Not hating on Ash.
