freeze12 is not legally considered a R-134a refrigerant....don't confuse this important fact. Most AC shops are only equipped to properly handle R-12 and R-134a. Most won't touch blends because they require dedicated equipment to recover/recycle them. it is a blend of 80% R-134a and 20% HCFC-142, the latter of which makes it compatible with mineral oil. HCFC-142 is a smaller molecule than R-134a, and will leak out first. If this occurs, you can seize your compressor because mineral oil will not properly circulate with the remaining R-134a in the system
