Message The percolating sound comes from steam from your rad blowing into the overflow reservoir, meaning things are running hot - too hot.

You mentioned the other day this started when you were cruising and then the A/C got warm and the engine temp went up - well that sure looks like you tossed the water pump belt.

This could be a dumb question, but have you checked to see if your water pump belt is still there?
