Message actually independent should be better for traction. its the suspension geometry that is built into the Z that is nore of an issue.."anti-dive, anti-squat" suspension doesnt allow for good weight transfer during a drag launch ( but does allow for great handling ). to a certain extent you can improve weight transfer by using softer spring rates in the rear plus adjustable shocks to improve the weight transfer to the rear of the car in a hard drag launch but then you will lessen the cars handling ability...trade offs...Z does pretty damn well even with its suspension geometry all things considered.
