The guns aren't that expensive... I got my setup off Ebay for about $200 including a ton of filters/screens, and a gun stand, two guns, 5 nozzles, etc, all brand new. Devilbis Finishline series.I think the big thing with compressors is gallons and a two stage that can really get the pressure back up in a short time. Otherwise, you're paint will flash before your done shooting the car (spray a panel, wait for the compressor, repeat). From what I was planning, I was going to DA the car, keeping the existing paint on the car. It's already a great base so long as it's not flaking or peeling. Check out some of the forums, and a book may save you a BUNCH of headache. I was going to go the book route once I was ready to start.
