Take the same money you spent on your Z and mod a RWD car with solid rear axle, and it will beat you. Mustangs will beat you, Camaro's will beat you, just about any boxy 1980's american rwd car will beat you too. Hell, even the old cars will. When I go to atco (dragstrip here), I see mustangs, camaro's, nova's, chargers, caprices, monte carlo's, all kinds of junk go to the track and run 11's and 12's. A Mustang with a slightly worse power to weight ratio than our Z's will still get better 1/4 mile times. It's all in the launch.
