: Friday afternoon, I was heading to Nashville up I-24 doing about 85 behind a navigator. It swerved to miss a tire in the middle of the road, and I did the same, but somehow I lost control of the z and the back end slid left. I countersteered and the back end slid right. I countersteered again and spun into a grass median. I immediately shut the car off and got out to check for damage. The car is fine except for a scratch on the passenger front of the fascia where I clipped the tire in the road. The car then took about 10 tries to start. Someone told me that the fuel cuts out when you spin, but I am not sure. It was like the engine wasn't getting any fuel. After spending an hour getting the z out of the mud, I headed back to Chattanooga to get another car. The oil pressure guage read 0, but I checked the dipstick and the car was still full of oil. There was no leak anywhere or anything. 25 miles back I heard a noise that sounded like belts squeaking, then I heard another noise, so I decided to pull off the road. As I was pulling of the road, the engine cut off. I opened the hood and noticed a little smoke coming from under the right side timing belt cover. I got it towed back to the shop and now it won't crank. The engine will turn over, but it won't crank. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong with it? It's hard to say what's cuasing the problem but usually symptoms like what you said just requires a little cleaning of the CAS and PTU connectors. I'd give that a shot and see if it helps.
Also another thought is that fuel may have flooded the cylinders so may pulling the plugs out and checking to see if the plugs are still wet?
