Message I just wonder what the rest of you guys would do in this situation. I’ll keep this extremely long story, short.

About 4 years ago now I bought my front Stoptech’s from a local vendor, from the day they were installed on my car,
they made a horrible clicking snapping noise during low speed braking.

Stoptech Noise Video
It’s not the best example, but gives you an idea:

So of course I go to the vendor and “show & tell” them the problem, they contact Stoptech who tells them A,B,C, vendor
tells me. This goes on for 1.5 years and the problem is not fixed or changed after trying A,B,C,D,E,F,G.

Then I start talking to Stoptech directly, they are awesome, great support, but they don’t have a clue as too what
the problem is. So for another 1.5 years I try H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P. In the meantime I also try Q,R,S,T,U & V.

We’ll to sum it up, after spending 100’s of hours and 100’s of dollars over the course of 3 years, I finally
figure out the problem on my own. It’s just “1” of the rotors making all this noise. Not the calliper, not the
hat or the pins, not the pads, or some other part of my suspension. I won’t bore you with all the troubleshooting,
but I call Stoptech, tell them I’m positive this is the problem.

They send me out a new rotor at my expense, and tell me they will refund it back if it solves the problem, but
I will still have to pickup shipping.

I get the rotor, throw it on, and the noise is GONE 110%. gone, gone, gone, and hasn’t returned after a year either.
So the problem was a defective rotor that was defective the day I got it. I don’t know exactly what the problem was
with the rotor, Stoptech never did call back to tell me.

So back to my original question, after spending 3 years, 100’s of hours of my time, a ton of money, even small things
like new hat pins on Stoptech advice, my penny. Should I expect something back from them?

My calliper brackets are pretty much toast, my brake line flare nuts are stripped, I seriously had to take
apart/reinstall this brake system at least 20 times over the course of 3 years looking for the problem.
Would you expect some sort of compensation?
