| Led a small convoy of Z32s across country to Reno. It rained the first 2 days of the roadtrip. One of the co-drivers was a 240Z guy and had never driven a Z32 before, so of course there was concern about him driving one in the rain. I told him to drive with his fingers instead of his arms and the Z will behave just fine in wet weather. On the way back home, the 240z guy was at the wheel of a red vert when a ferocious storm blew in through eastern South Dakota. Suddenly this dark cloud set down on top of us and sucked all the hay, chicken feathers, tumbleweeds,...etc off the ground on both sides of the interstate. It got crazy. I remeber the vert falling behind and me yelling on the CB telling him to floor it. According to my GPS, I hit 149.9 mph on my way out of this storm. The owner of the red vert was riding shotgun in his own car and took these pics. It looks like one of those nuclear bomb blasts from the pictures. Pictures cannot portray the power of this storm. Theres nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. Quite a number of cars were blown off the road, but we did just fine. My biggest concern at speed was the debris whipping around like mad. We were blasted by rain. All 3 Zs made it out without incident.

That being said, driving a Z in the rain can be challenging, but I would reccomend you do so in order that you will know what its like WHEN you get caught out in foul weather.
