Message	your not going to get much better than the Denon DVD2800. Seems your dad has done his research already and has given you a challenge thats tough to match...BUT... The SONY unit thats just as good is the DVP-S7700 THE Denon has 24bit audio DAC converters supporting playback of all formats and for the first time...SONY has it too.
