buffing pad that takes care of most of the sanding part. The rubbing compound is a lot more gritty than the stuff you get at normal stores so it cuts a lot quicker than normal rubbing compound. Just stating that I have learned through the years that the right tool for the job is well worth the extra cost. People usually end up spending more than it would have cost for the right tool when all is said and done. I am not expert on polishing but I do know that if I were doing it, I would be ordering a kit from Eastwood as my time is valuable to me and sanding all the little corners on things sure does not seem like time well spent when they sell tools that can make it happen a lot easier. I have seen someone attempt a wheel using the sandpaper and then just polish it way and they are still working on it after 8 or so plus hours. Take that for what it is but that is the way I do things. Do it right the first time and don't worry about it from then on. Not everyone shares that outlook and that is fine. To each their own!
