Message	1. the latch needs lowering. sometimes just doing the bump stops will fix it. 2. lowering the latch the amount of the stock slots will be enough, and you are too lazy to loosen the bolts. Yours was and you were. The previous tip you mentioned was for when the maximum stock adjustment had already been reached. Whacking it won't do anything if there is no place for it to go.
