I was the proud owner of a 92 NA Z four years ago, when gringing gears for 2 hours a day in rush hour traffic finally got the best of me, and I traded it in on a (gasp!) Beemer with an automatic. The BMW is a much more civilized ride for the 9-5 grind, but I long for the weekends with my Z car. That history stated, I was at a family reunion last weekend and my cousin owns a mint condition 91 TT (silver w/black leather 2 seater) that he sunk in a Houston flood about 3 years ago, and the car has never been the same engine wise. It runs rough, and lacks the punch it that a 300+ hp car should have. The last diagnosis that the mechanics gave him was that the heads were warped. Anyhow, he alluded to getting rid of the car, and I was thinking of buying it from him and dropping a new or rebuilt motor in it. Does anyone have any suggestions about where to go for this sort of thing? I've really got the itch to get into another Z as a weekend toy. Your responses are appreciated.
