the first gen 350Z (287HP). I'm not sure what the numbers are for the 308HP 350Z, but if we were to look at it that way, we can't say that the Z32 is the same class as the Z31 even though it has the same name. The end of the Z31 line, the Z31 Turbo had something like 205HP. The Z32TT immediately got 300HP. But then none of them are in the same class as the 280ZX Turbo. It had 145HP The newer S14 240SX (155HP) outperforms the 280ZX Turbo (145HP) but my 1982 200SX - S110 had 102HP stock..... If you look at it this way, we weren't comparing apples to apples from the start. Nissan makes the cars more powerful as the years go on, like just about every manufacturer.
