I can dispute: Why I bought the manifolds. My intentions for doing the test. Whether calling "Joe" unethical was an assumption. Whether I said the tests were fudged. Whether I can interpret the results of my test. Why does it matter if I have a use for the manifolds? If I don't, why would I say one was for my mom's car? That just sounds stupid. I would come up with a better story than that. You want a picture of her car or something? Again, why does it matter? Yes, I could have called and found out. The problem is that I did this test on my last day of class (meaning no more access to the flowbench) and I didn't find out that the results were so substantially different until the test started (more than likely after closing time for the shop). I was ignorant of one thing and that is the fact that people test manifolds by themselves. Every time I have tested an improvement I have done it has been as close to actual running conditions as possible, and I assumed that was the norm.
