Perhaps had I done my homework better I would have seen/noticed or realized that one can't compensate for the pad overhang on the outside since the caliper is hunkered down as low as possible onto the rotor. There's only a few millimeters of manouvering space where the caliper could get closer to the center of the rotor. Maybe I shouldn't have given up on the 350Z Brembo caliper and 350Z carrier upgrade.
