Message I bought the car with all intention of doing the conversion, but I've finally decided to stop attempting to make it a show car, and make it a "go" car. Which basically means, it's going to be parked, and I'm going to be saving all of my money to do the conversion.

Now, what would you all recommend? What I'd like is, a 500rwhp beast. I'm probably looking at 30k or so in parts, and another 10k or so in labor, I already know that. And, I've already began saving for that. The question is basically going to be, should I do the conversion without modding the engine, and then purchase upgrades bit by bit, or should I buy a front clip, have the engine rebuilt, purchase the upgrades, then have them installed?

I've also heard a lot of complaints about Z1. I was thinking of sending them my Z and letting them rebuild it. Is this a bad idea? Is there a more reputable mid-west shop I could have do the build? (I've done a search, found nothing as far as good shops in/around Indiana.

So basically, I'm ready to start seriously planning my build. And, not a clue as to where to start...other than this webpage, of course.

It should be a fun and exciting next couple of years for me and my Z!!
