Message I've personally watched some of AMS's R&D.
What R&D of the other suppliers have you witnessed?
And this percieved copying affects you how?
Have you even seen/used any products from AMS?
Do you not think to make an objective interpretation you must experience it first hand?
What experience do you have?
I got a BBK from CZP. They didn't make the Rotors, brake lines, pads or fluid that came in the kit. Does that make them copiers?
I got MS (not AMS) manifolds which look a whole heck of a lot like the oem manifolds. Did he copy the OEM ones as well?
Is there any great difference between the variety of adjustable upper control arms? Who copied who then? And what does it really matter at the end of the day?
Those that do come out with new products will always be challenged by others to be more cost effective, have better quality and be more innovative. If they aren't up to the task to keep up, they will fall behind while other's take over and ensure that there's progressive improvements.
I've always geared my purchasing perspective by several factors, namely quality and price. Most level headed people usually do. I couldn't care less who made it or where it was made. Are we looking at some sort of US suppliers protectionism here? It appears that some here prefer to maintain certain allegiances to various suppliers irregardless whether it's as good quality-wise or as cheap price-wise.
It reminds me of those old peoples comments when it comes to new car buying - I'm going to get another (insert car brand here) , cause I always buy (insert same car brand again). If that's your cup of tea, then enjoy. Bravo to those who take a chance to step outside the box.
