with him and Z1 took place. But that was also several years ago, when are some people here going to let it go? Do we hold SGP in the same esteem as we did years ago prior to their split? Was there not a point in time when you or someone you trust were not model citizens? Were there not posts stating 2.5" exhaust as the "perfect" exhaust for all but the absolute most powerful few twin turbos? Things change, but IMO, based on watching things here, some changes are permitted and others are not. It's obvious to the objective here what goes on, and the site has its rep, rightfully so or not, accordingly. I don't demand anything from you or anyone else. But when some people/products are dismissed and argued against with such zeal short of nothing less than fanatical, any objective person would expect there to be some sort of pressing reason (or reasons) that anyone would be willing to cite at a moment's notice, or that would pop right up plain as day in search, not something that requires "spending time in search" as you put it, leaving questions in minds of people unfamiliar with the site....but at the same time you say you don't expect people to take your word as gospel....so which is it? Can't have it both ways. I wouldn't expect you to choose Ash, but you are a totally different situation than 99.9% of TT owners, you have equally as good if not better options within a zip code or two of your car, the rest of us do not. You base your disdain for him according to this post, on years' past conduct, yet you allow it to be taken as if it were based on his ability or competence until directly asked as to why. So, to someone like me or this guy posting, it really just boils down to, "we don't like Ash, for our reasons and we believe you shouldn't like him for the same reasons. Search and if you can't figure out why it is because your are out of the loop and are listening to the fanboys". None of which has anything to do, as far as I can tell, with him having the knowledge and experience to be able to give a Z a good tune as part of services rendered in exchange for whatever his fee is. Last I checked, that was what being "objective" was all about. I personally don't care if anyone does or doesn't use him or his stuff. I haven't, and haven't made plans to, but I am not going to sit here and imply that he is incompetent and is a poor choice for tuning just because I don't like something about him. Just because some of his transactions with people get screwed up. His business operation woes are plainly documented, so if that isn't enough to sway folks from him to some people's satisfaction, tough, show me the harm he is going to do to.
