because with dual MAFs and the proper ECU program you'll be getting a more accurate airflow reading... but you would definitely need to get a new chip. As I said, the dual pop program doubles the MAF signal to compensate for the unmetered air... with a second MAF and the AFC splice, there is no longer any need to double the signal since the ECU will know exactly how much air the engine is inhaling.
