Message I currently do marketing for DHL, before that I was a DHL sales rep, I've filed hundreds of service failures and damage claims. UPS and FedEx are exactly the same. Duh! You cannot have the buyer file the damage claim. The (SVP) shipment value protection insurance your requested was billed to your account that it was shipped on. : O. You have to provide wholesale value proof of what the product is worth, let me see who would have that. How on earth then is he going to fill out the damage claim form. Ive seen people like you before and its disgraceful. Numerous times I would see the buyer of the product attempt to file a damage claim and it would get declined. Why? Because its your shipping account. You know why the buyer was attempting to file it because they would tell me the shipper is too lazy or said they had to do it. Poor business etiquette. Should have filed the claim so he can get his money back then this post would have never happened and you would not be in the predicament you are in. Well that is if it was not damaged before hand like you are stating.
