I came across a website not too long ago that showed the lap times of various sports/super cars around the Nurburgring, and the Veyron was about a second slower than the GTR. This leads me to believe that the McLaren would be the faster car on a roadcourse because I seriously doubt that the GTR would even come close to a McLaren. Of course the Veyron was probably not pushed to the limit, but I don't think it was babied around the track either. Also if I remember correctly, the McLaren weighs about 2500lbs (which makes it more than 1600lbs lighter than the VW Beetle's sibling). That alone would make a HUGE difference around the corners. Yes the Veyron has a lot more horsepower, but I think all that extra weight will kill its lap times. Think of it as a stock McLaren vs a 1000hp McLaren with a Civic in the trunk...well, not really. Either way, both are truly magnificent supercars which I most likely will never be able to afford.
