Message	The thumb-screw and the lock are actually two pieces that snap and lock together (still available from Nissan). If you look at the shad from the bottom, there is a large washer. I believe I broke the washer and I was able to see the lock. I used a precision screwdriver to unlatch the two and I replaced the locking end. Good Luck!
