Message	imagine putting a water balloon in a metal box and dropping it off the top floor of a tall building. the idea is to maximize your deceleration time, so even though the car decelerated that fast, the passenger section of the car took much longer due to crumpling of the barrier and the front of the car, and a certain amount of stretch in the HANS and safety harnesses.
