Well I am a happy camper. Aside from basically watching George (nissanguyZ32) do everything on my last round of work (tranny drop, clutch, DP's/TP's etc), the most intensive mechanical work I've done by myself was maybe an oil change. With him having a baby on the way and just buying a new house, working on my car should be the last thing on his mind. So, I figured I've got to start somewhere...picked up the wrenches and went to work. Ironically, as intimidating as it seems on the outside, the more I have just been digging into this car the less daunting the task(s) seem. In fact, I have to say everything has been downright easy up to this point. I saw TriniTT swap out two fascias in just a short time at Znationals, so i decided it couldnt be too bad. Cant wait to jump into my next project after this whatever that may be ;) Thanks to Robo for his resourceful website. I really like your write-ups, as they are very easy to understand. I am currently using one for the CC removal. Never realized how much more rewarding the satisfaction of doing your own car work really is. Heres a few pics of where I'm at; more to come. Wasnt kidding about TN style ;)
This stuff works REALLY well for the couplers, keeps them slippery for a good while so adjustments are easy. Didnt have any silicone lube...well, conventional kind at least. Gotta be resourceful ;D

Carbon canister=reduced airflow

Is this normal? Overspray on the ductwork and factory IC's. Thought the car hadnt seen aftermarket paint before...hmmm...

More to come after completed tonight (hopefully).
