Message	current rims, then I think the stock-sized Brembros would be a good choice. As far as the 12.75's providing better braking....yes, I believe they would give you much improved braking. As you said, you also have to consider cost. But if you are going to get 4 Brembros, Brake Lines, Pads, etc....you'll probably spend around $500.
