| In spite of having my... umm... help... Guapo has finished my swap. What I wanted to accomplish with this swap... besides just the motor change... was to install any engine mod I thought I would want in the future. More specifically, the ones that needed the motor out to install. May as well install it now before the motor goes back in. Right...? So added to the basic swap Steve and I decide on Garrett's GT2560R ( GT28R ) ball bearing turbos. Those seem to be suited for my needs on the street and at the track. Adding Mike Smith manifolds seemed a natural thing to do as well as installing a set of Specialty Z's Super Split downpipes. Mike Smith recommends Swain coatings for his manifolds so we coated those and the turbine housings of the turbos. SPL's radiator/oil cooler and Specialty Z's over sized oil pan were added for piece of mind when running hard on road courses. SactoTodd had a nice used set of GReddy intercoolers for sale and AliaZ had some test pipes he didn't need... so those were added to the growing list. Bernie (NoVA) had found a donor car about the time I got seriously thinking about this swap... so we had him send us everything an NA owner would need. During the build... any TT item we would need for this swap... no matter how small... we would find in his shipment. Amazing Bernie. After deciding on those parts... it was just a matter of ordering them and getting the job done. So... As promised... a few pics to show what was done with the car. This is where the dark side beckons and I fall in even deeper... I was reading this post by Whitepearlz... and got all kinds of ideas... Hey Steve... Got a question for you... So we go back and forth on it... he spends hours on the Summit Racing site finding all the proper bits and pieces... I decided to make it an even harder task by wanting all black fittings. Wanted to stay away from anything red in the engine bay. So after all that work at finding everything... I balk at hearing the final price tag. Then here comes Jenn... One evening after I had told Steve "no"... she comes over and asks... "what didn't you get for the swap that you have liked to..?" Dangerous question to ask... I show her Specialty Z's site with the proper sized 2.5" TT exhaust and even the uber nice 3" systems... I show her a dual MAS set up... a 1 piece drive shaft... None of it peaked her interest until I showed her Whitepearlz fuel setup... "Nice! You have to do that!" "Ok Honey." Which leads us to this... "Parallel Fuel Lines"










Steve had an idea to fabricate some aluminum hard lines to replace as much tubing as possible. He succeeded. Aluminum Hard Lines

After getting the stock turbo oil return lines to fit these turbos... Steve didn't like it. So off to the net he went again. Oil Return Lines
