Message	1- The one-piece DS is mostly because the center carrier bearing fails, and the 1 piece is an easy, cheap, and generally equally as safe way to go. No reason to replace the two piece unless its failing 2- Turbo timers are a good 'idea', though many will tell you they are not necessary. You most likely do not need a turbo timer based on your description. I got one, even though I am in a similar situation to you, but mostly because it helps me sleep better at night. Plus, it replaced that crappy clock.
