Message	my DD again this entire year so far, so more than enough time for any surface rust picked up from the rotors to have been worn from the pad surface. As I said, for 99% of "regular" driving the pads are fine. Just when you really need to stop in a hurry, they just don't stop well. I went through 2 sets of Axxis Metalmaster pads with each set lasting about 60K miles, and I don't recall them fading like this over time.
