Message They're finally to the wear indicators in the front, and I've got another set of Axxis Ultimates on the shelf to replace them ASAP. I drive and brake pretty aggressively, and I imagine there's *plenty* of transfer material to allow the pads to bite, but I've felt like they've gotten worse and worse for "emergency stops" here lately. My remedy: Replace them. I know a lot of folks here stand by the Hawk pads, but I'll never bother with their street pads again.

The only other suggestion, if you believe it's the lack of transfer layer causing poor braking, is to scuff the rotors and try the bed-in process again, but IMO, you can't fix pads that already suck.
