Message	with gutted cats or test pipes? My car still has DP's, factory cats, and resontated X-pipe. It's a very mellow sound and not raspy at all. My father's car has DP's, TP's, and non-resonated X-pipe. It is still mellow but had a boomy resonance inside the car. He switched over to a resonated X-pipe and is very happy with the set up. Between our two cars, I don't think either one has a raspy sound. I hope this helps you out.
